Google is Not an Evil Overlord

Ok, so, I took a couple of Instructional Design Technology classes at WVU this summer. One on social media sites like Facebook, and one about future trends for the net.

I may have mistaken IDT for Industrial Design and Technology.. it still turned out well. There were many interesting prompts, and it caused me to more deeply investigate some of my assumptions.

For the final project in the web trends class, we were asked to write a short fictional story. I decided to have some fun with the story, and cast Google as an evil overlord that takes over the world by taking over information and advertising. It's a bit over the top, perhaps. Since I mostly like Google (I even let them host my email), and since I'm totally not in any comfort zone as a fiction writer, I don't think I'll be posting the full assignment here [just yet].

It may be worth noting though that, for expediency of the plot, I had to kill off Larry and Sergey in a plane crash.
